How To Perform Wheelie on a Motorcycle

Wheelies are one of the type of stunts which can be performed by any type of motorbike.Basically wheelie refers to riding a two wheeler or three wheeler only on the rear wheels with the front wheel in the air.
Before getting into the details of how to perform this stunt, I would like categorise two major types of wheelie:
1.Power wheelie : This is generally performed on heavy engine capacity motorcycles above 600 cc.
2.Clutch wheelie : This can be performed in any type of motorcycle.

Looking at a wheelie stunt is very eye catching & a rush of adrenaline is generated for the performer however if done without proper riding gear, it can be extremely lethal & can even lead to death of the rider.
Below is the basic technique by using which you can perform a clutch wheelie:
To start with find a flat & well paved road at least 500 meters with no traffic.
Remember to wear your best riding gear including helmet & armour.Warm up your bike for sometime by giving different amounts if throttle & rev to high & low rpms. Don't try to perform wheelie without warming up the bike.
Now put your motorcycle in 1st gear & ride at around 10 kms/hr speed.Hold your clutch & rev the bike to around 8000 RPM the leave the clutch at once, you will see your front wheel popping up.Once the front is up you can leave adjust the throttle & clutch to remain on one wheel for longer duration.
After much practice you will be able to know how much throttle to give to stay on one wheel.
If you go out of control you can tap rear brakes & leave the throttle, this will bring the bike down to two wheels.
Enjoy and ride safe.
